June 2021. I helped English Eccentrics with their immersive theatre experience where Emma produced and directed a production of 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' in The Glade at Dartington. The whole thing was a magical experience, made even more magical that it was almost dry and 60% chance of rain had been forecast for that evening.

Preparation

The evening before was the time for everyone to come and help to organise The Glade, find out where everything was and see if it was all working. Oh, and the dress rehearsal.

Emma rewarded all the cast and crew on the evening before the performance with a wonderful thank you meal.

The Performance

The Glade at Dartington provided the ideal venue for this fairytale fantasy, where chaos reigned but all was right in the end.

Fancy Dress

All the guests entered into the spirit of the occasion with fancy dress and a good time was had by all.

Emma Carter Bromfield is the dynamic force behind the concept of English Eccentrics and has been organising annual events for several years, each with a different, creative theme, costumes and venue. She is always shy to have her photograph taken and is happy to be the DJ for the evening rather than take credit for her wonderful events.
