June 2021. Street fashion and headshot shoot with Lara around Plymouth city centre in Devon in the late afternoon and early evening when it was a bit quieter.

Lara Pearce is a 14 year old aspiring model and is already signed with some agencies. We made all arrangements through her mum, who accompanied us at all times around Plymouth and was a real help. We had decided that the theme would be street fashion, and she is so photogenic that I had to include headshots for her model portfolio into the mix. I scouted the area beforehand for natural light locations and Plymouth did not disappoint, as there is a great variety in the city centre.

I do street fashion and model headshots, and natural light portraits throughout Devon, from my base in Exeter, but also cover Plymouth, Torbay and Newton Abbot.

We had a coffee first so that we could get to know each other and started our photoshoot there.

We moved on to the edge of the car park with a coordinating concrete wall and then moved on to some other simple backgrounds, and were then attracted by the graffiti and a colourful shop window.

We braved the traffic and took natural light headshots in the wildflower area in the middle of the traffic island using a shallow depth of field to concentrate the attention .

We finished off with a mixed bag of backgrounds.
